It has been a great start for the Ullman family at the start of the racing season in the Mediterranean. One of the most important events to kick off the season was the Tre Golfi Capri Rolex Sailing Week.

This glamorous race offers a fantastic atmosphere with a midnight start that attracts sailors and spectators from all over the world. This year the race offered the perfect conditions to sailors with around 15-18knots of wind and warm sunshine during the day with temperatures of 28 degrees Celsius.

Ullman Sails’ pro-racer Francesco De Vita

This year Ullman’s very own Francesco De Vita joined the team of Fra Diavolo with a full Ullman inventory, designed by the legendary Bruce Hollis. After winning the first race the yacht went on to place third overall. “I love this race there because it is held at home. I have raced it all my life and it was marvelous to come back the for a new adventure onboard Fra Diavolo. There were more than 150 boats participating and the race was very competitive. Until the last day we were leading the fleet but in the last race we make a big mistake and in the end, we closed the week in third. In any case, it was a great result and I am very happy,” says De Vita.

Another important result for Ullman was in the 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar. This race has grown to be one of the most important offshore races with participation growing over the last four years to include over 200 boats. In a record photo finish, Pendragon VI claimed victory with its Ullman Sails inventory while the Thetis Swan 45 placed second in the ORC 0 class and forth overall, also sporting a full Ullman Sails inventory.
