Bojan Grego is the co-owner of Ullman Sails Croatia in Rijeka with his brother Vlado Grego. Bojan is acknowledged as one of Croatia’s top One Design sailors. He represented Croatia in the 1992 Olympic Games in the Flying Dutchman class, where he was the youngest participant in the class. Bojan has an extensive one design background, which includes competing in the Optimist, 420, Flying Dutchman and Snipe Classes. Bojan won the European Championship title in the 420 class, and has won the Croatian National Championship six times (2 x 420 class, 2 x FD class, and 2 x Snipe class).
Bojan has been a sailmaker for over 20 years, and both Bojan and Vlado have carried on the proud legacy of their father Anton Grego, who is considered one of the most prestigious sailors in Croatia. Anton was very active in the Snipe class – he won the European Championships twice, was the runner-up twice and placed third overall at the Snipe World Championship in Nassau (back at home he won the Snipe National Championship 13 times). He later competed in the Flying Dutchman class and took part in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico (12th place) and in Munich in 1972 (5th place). It was at the end of his active sailing career that he founded Grego Sails, which has now been making sails for 40 years. Grego Sails joined the Ullman Sails group in 2007.
Bojan and Vlado work closely with both cruising and racing sailors along the Adriatic coastline and are recognized for their specialized expertise in one design sails, quality products and racing skill.
