Michael brings an exceptional depth of talent to Ullman Sails, spanning sailing, sail manufacturing, and sail design. A third-generation sailmaker, he has over 42 years of sailmaking experience and more than 36 years in sail design, providing invaluable insight across the Ullman Sails group. A formidable competitor and respected authority on speed, Michael is a championship sail designer with proven success both on the water and in the DN Ice Boat Class. He has raced extensively around the world and boasts an impressive list of achievements, including multiple One-Design titles such as three-time Tartan Ten North American Champion and S2 7.9 National Champion. Michael has also competed at the highest levels of big-boat racing, with victories at events including the Southern Ocean Racing Circuit, MORC Internationals, Key West Race Week, and the International 50s. He currently designs all sails for Ullman Sails Detroit.
