My sailing journey began with the Optimist class, where I honed my skills and developed a deep appreciation for the sport. Moving on to the OK dinghy and Finn, I embraced the power of solo sailing and learned to navigate the open waters with finesse and precision. The 470 class presented a dynamic shift, requiring teamwork and synchronicity with a partner. The SB 20 class added another layer of complexity, demanding quick thinking and adaptability on the water.
As my passion for sailing grew, I ventured into the competitive realm of regattas, participating in numerous ORC events. The First 34.7, Saffier 36 Race, Figaro 2, and Elan 340 Performance sailboats became my companions in these exhilarating competitions, pushing me to constantly refine my techniques and strategies.
Beyond the thrill of racing, I’ve found solace and joy in leisurely sail cruises, particularly in the stunning waters of Greece. The gentle lapping of waves against the hull, the crisp sea breeze, and the breathtaking coastal landscapes have made these experiences truly unforgettable.
Sailing has become not just a hobby but a way of life for me—a journey of self-discovery, teamwork, and a deep connection with the elements. This is why I embraced also the opportunity to join the sailmakers industry along Ullman Sails.
